Our Minted Calendar! And why they're awesome.

Last week Minted offered to let me try out one of their awesome photo calendars, and no hesitation....I promptly took them up on the offer.  Not only do I LOVE Minted products (see proof here), but I've always wanted to order a photo calendar and just haven't ever made one.  So, I received the calendar last night and the quality does not disappoint.  They recently updated to a new matte paper, and one that's super thick.  So, not only does the design look super luxurious, but it's easy to write on compared to some other calendars.  And, there's enough room to write in the squares.  I know that sounds silly, but so many calendars don't have enough room for events. Here are a few shots to show you how it turned out and more details below...

I chose the "Glittering Confetti Grand Calendar" and absolutely love it.  The colors and calligraphy make me smile.  I was wondering how the design would show considering it's somewhat simple, but it stands out so well against the paper quality and almost looks three-dimensional.  Another fear of mine is that I didn't have photos to use that were high-quality enough for some months (I use my iphone for almost everything!).  So, I ended up using some instagram photos, and those pages turned out really well!

The calendars are available in quite a few designs, and two sizes.  The Grand is pretty large and awesome for a kitchen wall or office.
And, while you're here...a few of my favorite of their other gift ideas right now.

This one, it's my absolute favorite and I seriously want one to put on our wall.

Awesome, adorable art prints...framed or unframed.  Perfect for a friend and great for a kid's room.

And some classic (or funky) personalized stationery for your paper-loving friend, especially in the new triple-thick paper.  A great gift for newly marrieds or new graduates.

Stocking time!

So, I know not everyone is ready for the holidays, but if we’ve been friends for any amount of time, you’re probably aware of my Christmas obsession.  Plus, the addition of kid number three right before the holidays/feeling essentially miserable being this pregnant have given me motivation to get things done early. Our stockings are hung by the chimney with care (yay for having a mantle!) already, and we'll be putting up our tree tonight (first artificial tree ever for me - still not quite sure how I feel about it...).  I’m working some kind of combo fall/Christmas tablescape in the dining room since we’ll be hosting Thanksgiving here, but otherwise it's all Christmas, all the time.  Anyways, the point is that I’ve had a lot of people ask about our stockings over the past few years, and I thought I’d  take the opportunity to provide the information, as well as some other adorable options.  Maybe it will cut down on shopping time for even just a few of you?

Here’s our set-up a…

Regular blogging, she said, right?  Whoops.  Seriously...I'm trying.  I swear I'll get more consistent.  Anyways...
Madewell is killing me right now.  The idea of spending more on maternity clothes that won't fit in three months is too much to stand, but I am still running out of stuff to wear, so I decided to try some things on the in the store recently (Holla - store close to home!) and holy cow, they are winning this season.  Madewell is one of those brands that I find doesn't look as cute on the website or hangers as it does in person.  Here were my favorites...Some outer layers to wear over maternity tanks and tees and then a few other tops that can expand.

This long cardigan.  I typically don't wear long cardigans because of my height, but this one seems to work - I think it must be the weight.

Look at this you guys.  You are wearing a sweatshirt.  But you look like you are wearing a structured jacket.  BOOM.

This shirt is incredible. Works with a belly, bu…

You guys.  These are by far these worst videos ever made.  Yet I made them.  That's your first piece of information.  Second - why?  Why on earth would you post these silly, low-quality videos? I've had some people ask about my hair recently, specifically the waves/curls I've been doing. And, we've all talked about getting together, but sometimes it just doesn't work out.  So, here you go.  I can't wait to get my first thumbs down on YouTube.  Also, I am completely aware that there are much more important things going on in the world right now. 🙂
The main product that makes the difference for me is my curling iron, The Beachwaver (I use the S1 most of the time, S .75 less often).  I swear I'm not trying to sell it. I just really, really like it.   I realize it is a lot of money for a curling iron, so it's an investment (the 20 % off coupons from Ulta apply to this product when they're available and you can apply for their points system - I got min…
