Peony Love.

Peony school ?  Fly me to New York and sign me up!   The Little Flower School, via  Saipua .
One year and five days ago... ...the best day. And what a great year it's been. :) {Photo: CLC Photography }

POOF!

Poofy veils. I heart them. I considered my wedding veil to be poofy, but looking at these, I wish I had gone for a little more lift!! Don't they just look like clouds of joy? {Images 1,2: Milwaukee Wedding from StyleMePretty ; Image 3: weddingbee; Image 4: Cheree and Jeff's Wedding from Martha Stewart Weddings; Images 5, 6: Lo Boheme }

Baby find.

Loving this cute little mobile from The Land of Nod . What relevance, you may ask, does this have? Well, all...we're having a baby. Some of you may know this, others may not. But it is true. I am 15 weeks and 2 days along today. Woah. It's been quite a crazy ride these past few months. We found out only weeks before I was to start PA school, so it was quite a surprise. I was able to defer school a year, and we're so thankful for that. The process itself was hard emotionally, but really smooth logistically. Although this wasn't in our plan, I'm confident it's in the Lord's plan. And He's never let me down. I know there will continue to be ups and downs through the coming months, but I've been clinging to this scripture for truth: " For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your th

Ghostly.

I stumbled upon these "crystal" chiavari chairs in a wedding magazine last week (don't judge), and thought they were pretty stunning. I love chiavari chairs, but I had never seen this rendition before. I still think actual "ghost chairs" might beat them, but they're beautiful. A "crystal" chiavari chair. A "ghost" chair. ...and proof why ghost chairs are incredible... (Last two images from the Martha Stewart Weddings Today Show wedding)

Yet again amazed.

I know I fell in love with Betsy Dunlap's "Lucy and Orla" tattoo , but this one (posted on her blog ) is almost more incredible. It's just gorgeous.
In the words of Liz Lemon... "I want to go to there." Santorini, Greece. I believe this is one of my life goals.

Summer Reading.

Love the One You're With by Emily Giffin...I don't know how I feel about this book after reading it. I really had trouble liking the main character, which made it hard to relate at points. And, inspired by Erin's post on Elizabeth Berg, I picked up Range of Motion off the shelf. Apparently I had planned on reading it a few years ago. It was so incredibly good. I definitely want to read more of her books soon. Now, I'm in process of reading The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve. So far, it's pretty incredible and I can't wait to finish!

The spin pin.

I've been wanting to try these Goody spin pins for a few weeks, but I was skeptical, especially since a package of two cost six dollars. But after making the plunge the other day, I know they are TOTALLY worth it. Amazing! My hair is pretty thick and ponytail holders always work, but when it comes to bobby pins or plastic clips, forget it. I do possess one favorite heavy duty metal clip (which looks like some kind of torture device), but I bought it at a grocery store in Morocco, so the day I lose that baby, I have no hopes of a replacement. So, spin pins, you're going to change my life. Just one little guy for a perfect bun. See for yourself...here's a fuzzy picture from my phone..
