Pink Holidaze

There were PEONIES at the Farmer's Market this Saturday.  Happy, happy, happy.  And now, peonies in our house for days!  There were only a few bunches left and I'm not one to bust my way into a line, but I channeled my inner Moroccan (may the woman with the strongest elbows win!) and refused to let anyone in front of me.  :)

Heather sent me the link to these photos ( from oh happy day ) this morning.  Oh, my.  SO beautiful.  I want to go to there (Paris) now.  And pluck these blooms from my screen, please.

Found: some ranunculus at Trader Joe's yesterday.  So pretty.  And pink. And they always remind me of a sweet friend' s wedding. p.s.  TJ was crazy yesterday.  So here's a little quiz: Trader Joe's on a Sunday is to _______ on a Saturday.  Give me your best guess.

Another favorite.. .Jayme and Chris , featured in Martha Stewart Weddings . It's so sweet and beautiful. And, the flowers are by Livia Cetti of The Green Vase . She's done styling for Anthropologie catalogs, if that tells you anything... Anyways, a lot of our little wedding details were loosely based off this wedding. We even tried to order that fun monogrammed candy from PapaBubble in New York, but alas, it was a bit hard to get in touch (we ended up settling on Bissinger's chocolate instead which was pretty delicious). Enjoy!

I just spotted this wedding on MSW for the first time and it's soooo beautiful...the venue was absolutely gorgeous and of course, the flowers were done by Saipua and the calligraphy by Betsy Dunlap . What more could one ask for? Oh, and her hair?! It's awesome!

I was just browsing on simple song and spotted these gorgeous flowers . So pretty...too bad they're based in Barcelona! I love how the renanculas (how hard is that to spell, seriously!) are in a bowl with a spoon. So yummy, they're like food. :)

More paper.  Excited.  I think wedding planning was totally more like shopping for art or, at least that's how it felt.  So, when I was super struggling to figure out what we were going to do for our programs and menus...scouring for something gorgeous that fit in our budget and our time frame...I struck gold.  In the form of Erin at Lucky Luxe.   Somehow I happened to stumble upon her blog and saw that she was starting to offer print at home packages.  Again, Erin does a lot of awesome letterpress otherwise!  It was a perfect solution and her designs are absolutely stunning.  She worked with our very crunched time line (and my late responses...eeks) and came up with something really, really wonderful.  Not only did I love the way it looked, but it felt really special and personal...like it really expressed us.  So much so that Zach has some of those flowers tattooed on him!  One of my favorites on her site are the screen-printed hankie invites!  These are bad pics, but here they ...

(Photo copyright of CLC Photography) So, I ran into our florist ( Bloomin' Buckets ) right after Christmas while we were in the STL and it totally made my day (well, that and the fact that Zach and I were enjoying a day in St. Louis together :).  She is one of those people from the wedding who we simply "clicked" with all around.  From the time my mom and I entered the door at our first appointment, it was clear we were in good hands.  Her little studio consisted of a wonderful white couch and inviting, bright ribbons hanging everywhere. Here were some of the inspirations we gave her for the wedding.  They started like this...      (Image 1: J. I can't get enough of Saipua .  Flowers in their most gorgeous state of being for sure.  They're free flowing without being too out of control.  And the colors are always beautifully strewn together.  It's almost too much to handle.   One of my absolute favorites... A photo of a bridal bouquet on Sarah's  blog ...just LOOK at that Dahlia! Engulfing yourself in the blog for a whole night is pretty much worth it, I'd say.
