Pink Holidaze

Have you guys SEEN the new light collection  Young House Love is doing for Shades of Light ?  Holy cow.  I love them all.  Each and every one.  They're all under $100, too.  Impressive.

Why I now definitely, positively want pink curtains in our family room. {I need this to happen} Specifically, the fabric below (dangerously available and not ridiculously priced). And why I now want to paint more rooms pink (that part won't happen - our kitchen is already pink).  I thank Katie, who sent me the link to this house . :) I can just see these pink curtains, all sidled up to our Christmas tree, brightening up the room.   Despite the fact that I absolutely love white furniture and whites and grays and burlaps and wood and all things simple and modern and country all the same, it turns out I can never seem to resist color and pattern.  I want things to be so perfect and matching.  But I have given into the fact that my house will naturally always look as if a 5-year old little girl came in and threw up her most favorite possessions and colors all in one room.  Which is what is happening now.  I can see it now before my eyes.  For example ...

WOW.  Something about these make me intensely happy.  They're just perfect.  How sweet would a set of three be in a dining room or kitchen?  It turns out these are prints of the original paintings (by Paul Ferney), as they sold out of those.  {via Heather on Pinterest }

I'm in love with these Martini side tables from West Elm right now.  Aren't they awesome??  The white one could be clean and cute, the yellow, super funky.  Love the idea of two for a coffee table.

I've fallen head over heels for these little Eames Elephants .  Aren't they cute?

I've had a few people come into our home recently and ask where I got this little Easter sheep  (the standing one) .  I got him last year at Pier 1...well, lo and behold, he is back again this year...I saw him today.  So, get thyself to Pier 1 for your curly little sheep, on sale!

Yet another ika t find.  An Ikat Bench ( Printed Essex Bench ) from West Elm.  Love how it's modern and slightly funky at the same time.   Which reminds me, I found a green ikat pillow for $5 at Pier 1 today.  FIVE dollars.  Holler.

I LOVE this classic " Tate" toddler bed from Restoration Hardware baby & child ( via OhDeeDoh ).  Doesn't it bring back images of some old time book or movie?

I really love this frame wall from Young House Love .  We don't really have an area to do this right now, but the day we do, I'll be prepared!

And while I'm on a fabric kick today, I've got to mention one of my new favorites.  My mom got me a set of washcloths, a burp cloth, etc. off etsy made with this great spotted owl design (by Alexander Henry)  before Eloise arrived.  I find myself washing them right away just so I can use them again!

I'm in serious want of a pink leather Moroccan pouf (and maybe this room, too) right now.  Funny thing is, the whole year I lived in Morocco, I don't think I actually ever saw a pink leather one.  Maybe I overlooked them in Fez, or maybe they only make them for foreigners.  Either way, I'm in love.  My only pouf purchase was a yellow and blue stripe fabric, which I believe cost me seven dollars (oh, the joys of bargaining).  These pink poufs , they aren't so cheap. { Image found here }
