Freedom!

Well, it's been a full few weeks...and wonderfully so! :) After getting back from the women's retreat two weekends ago (which was refreshing and lovely all around), I entered into my LAST week of work for a long while. I won't be starting school for close to two months, so here's to freedom! Here are a few highlights of the past few weeks (let me warn you, this is not a cohesive post whatsoever):
A. Women's Retreat...plain old fun and I learned so, so much about God and His wonderful, loving character. Here's a picture of our little traveling group!
B. Bethany's visit...Bethany is one of my very best friends in the whole world. I love every minute I spend with her and this visit was the first time we had seen each other since my wedding (we were married just two weeks apart). We didn't even meet until after college, but I feel as though we've known each other forever. One of my other very best friends in the world (Jordan) and I were roommates and best friends throughout college. Afterwards, we both made the choice to move to North Africa and work there for a year. We knew we were going to have a third roommate, but had absolutely no idea how it would turn out. Well, the Lord knew what he was doing...He couldn't have come up with a better trio. We've been through a lot together...we've dodged weird men in foreign lands, driven cars through crazy African roundabouts, been through many Euro mullet hair cuts, and learned a lot about ourselves and each other along the way. And, coming home, we've had the pleasure of seeing each other fall in love and get married...what a wonderful gift. Now, we're all off to school again...it seems as though we can't help but fall in the same path over and over again. :) So, although I failed to get any good pictures of B's visit, here are a few of the three of us from the past few years (and a picture of the hill with sheep where we spent Easter just three years ago!).

C. Last day of work. So bittersweet. I can't say I'm not enjoying my time off. No more explaining to customers that screen printing takes time (as one customer told me "How hard can it be?"...I almost started yelling at him...). No more telling them they cannot return their custom work. But no more of that means no more of my fun co-workers. Or getting to work with my brother every day. Or simply being around art, even if I wasn't making it. But, I'm happy to be moving on to something new and to enjoy this down time in between. My going away party was a Mexican fiesta...with a huge pinata from my husband and a homemade one from Jared. :)

D. Daniellie's birthday celebration...a wonderful time together. Period. :)

E. Easter. I love this holiday for everything it means as well as the lovely spring weather. What a joyous event! Rosie had fun on her Easter egg hunt, so all was a success.

Wow...it has taken me FORever to actually publish this post. haha.

  1. I framed that same Easter pic on the hill in fez and it's hanging in my bedroom. I don't know why I like it so much, but I do.

Land of Nod Giveaway!!! (CLOSED)

Giveaway is CLOSED. Giveaway, it's a giveaway!!! $50 Land of Nod Gift Card! I'm obsessed with The Land of Nod .  I'm sure this is no surprise.  As you know, a whole lot of Eloise's room came from there.  And we continue to loooove, love, love their products.  SO, just recently, they came out with some amazing and adorable new products .  I can't get over how cute the new beddings are...these would have seriously been in the running for EA had they existed then.  And the blue Jenny Lind bed is the perfect shade of aqua, all funky and polished at the same time.  In love.  And, if you happen to like poufs, too, a faux leather (and somewhat cheaper) version of one for kids (or adults).  Oh, yes, and the rugs...seriously amazing...  I need to stop.   Anyways, these sweet people at the Land of Nod have offered to give one lucky reader a 50 dollar gift card .  Yep, that's right.  I'm pretty stinking excited.  I kind of wish I could enter!  For details,

Another Chewbeads Giveaway - Open until 6/11.

YAY!   Another Chewbeads Necklace Giveaway – the Turquoise Hudson !   Giveaway will close on Monday, 6/11 at 10pm – winner will be announced by Wednesday evening. So, this go around, the necklace is a gift from me as a thank you for reading or visiting this tiny little blog.  Also, because it’s really fun to give stuff away.   So, I’ll be giving away one specific necklace, the Turquoise Hudson , since it seemed to be the overall favorite last time!   Chewbeads have actually even improved since the last giveaway - they're now lighter weight and don't snag on long hair! You all know I’m a little obsessed with them , and I still wear them, even with E at 16 months.   Actually, she was just chewing on them the other day (same day as the pic above– I swear she chews on them, I just never catch it).   And – she cries for the Charles bangles when I wear them.   She’s convinced they are hers, I assume.   So...Who can enter? Anyone – Old readers, new
