Changing it up.

We've done a little switching up in the living room.  Our arrangement was like this before (except we had added an ikea shelf as our tv stand).  It was nice and cozy, and to be honest, I really liked it.  BUT, it only officially seated 4 people (3 comfortably), and it was feeling very, very small with all of Eloise's toys.  It was time for an overhaul.  As sad as I was to take E's kitchen out of here (she just loves it so much), I'm glad we did.  We've reduced her down to two toy bins in this room to reduce the extra stuff.  We inherited a chair from some friends who are moving, and brought E's rocker in here as well (tore my heart apart a little).  And here is the result - seating for six or seven and a lot less clutter.

P.S.  I know I have a lot of Christmas decorations up already, but I really feel this isn't decorated enough yet.  I think it needs a little more warmth to it, maybe?

Taking out E's rocker and switching up the TV stand meant moving this shelf to her room…and we made room for the kitchen.

YAY!   Another Chewbeads Necklace Giveaway – the Turquoise Hudson !   Giveaway will close on Monday, 6/11 at 10pm – winner will be announced by Wednesday evening. So, this go around, the necklace is a gift from me as a thank you for reading or visiting this tiny little blog.  Also, because it’s really fun to give stuff away.   So, I’ll be giving away one specific necklace, the Turquoise Hudson , since it seemed to be the overall favorite last time!   Chewbeads have actually even improved since the last giveaway - they're now lighter weight and don't snag on long hair! You all know I’m a little obsessed with them , and I still wear them, even with E at 16 months.   Actually, she was just chewing on them the other day (same day as the pic above– I swear she chews on them, I just never catch it).   And – she cries for the Charles bangles when I wear them.   She’s convinced they are hers, I assume.   So...Who c...

Stocking time!

So, I know not everyone is ready for the holidays, but if we’ve been friends for any amount of time, you’re probably aware of my Christmas obsession.  Plus, the addition of kid number three right before the holidays/feeling essentially miserable being this pregnant have given me motivation to get things done early. Our stockings are hung by the chimney with care (yay for having a mantle!) already, and we'll be putting up our tree tonight (first artificial tree ever for me - still not quite sure how I feel about it...).  I’m working some kind of combo fall/Christmas tablescape in the dining room since we’ll be hosting Thanksgiving here, but otherwise it's all Christmas, all the time.  Anyways, the point is that I’ve had a lot of people ask about our stockings over the past few years, and I thought I’d  take the opportunity to provide the information, as well as some other adorable options.  Maybe it will cut down on shopping time for even just a few of you? ...
