Joy.


This is our sweet pea.  I'm in love.  Here she was having some kind of wonderful dream (she doesn't smile at us yet) the other day.  Most likely it involved milk. 

I plan to share the actual birth story as soon as I can.  But I'm so enjoying this time as a family together, getting into some kind of routine and learning how to love this little one, so I'll just be posting a few random things every once and a while for now.  

In these past few days, I've found myself smiling more than I ever have before.  So much joy on top of our already existing joys.

    What a beautiful, sweet little daughter you have. I love this picture of her and that contented little face. Wonder what happy little baby dreams she is having! I'm so glad that you are so pleased with the way everything happened with Eloise's birth. I'm so proud of you...you are one brave, amazing woman! And I'm just so truly happy for you. Missing you and your wonderful,sweet little family :)

    She is absolutely precious Colleen... and smiling about a milk dream is super funny.. love it. This makes me want my baby to come out faster now.lol.. : )

Stocking time!

So, I know not everyone is ready for the holidays, but if we’ve been friends for any amount of time, you’re probably aware of my Christmas obsession.  Plus, the addition of kid number three right before the holidays/feeling essentially miserable being this pregnant have given me motivation to get things done early. Our stockings are hung by the chimney with care (yay for having a mantle!) already, and we'll be putting up our tree tonight (first artificial tree ever for me - still not quite sure how I feel about it...).  I’m working some kind of combo fall/Christmas tablescape in the dining room since we’ll be hosting Thanksgiving here, but otherwise it's all Christmas, all the time.  Anyways, the point is that I’ve had a lot of people ask about our stockings over the past few years, and I thought I’d  take the opportunity to provide the information, as well as some other adorable options.  Maybe it will cut down on shopping time for even just a few of you? ...
